Consignment Resin Stabilizing for Your Wood
We can stabilize your wood for you.
Our stabilization method at Spa City Woodworks is a proprietary multi step industrial process. By impregnating acrylic resins all the way down into the cellular structure of the wood followed by a polymerization process to fortify and enhance characteristics of the original material, the end result is a beautiful, dimensionally stable and natural looking product that will last a lifetime with minimal care and upkeep.

Moisture Content: Wood sent to us for stabilization must be dry. We will verify moisture content with a surface check when received but will not cut wood to test for moisture. Moisture content of 10% or more may create problems such as shrinking or cracking. If we believe the wood to be too wet, we will contact you for a decision.
Oily Woods: As a general rule, woods high in resin content or oily woods such as Rosewood and Teak do not stabilize well.
Shipping Time: We can usually ship clear stabilized wood in about 7-10 days from the time we receive it. If you have a rush order, please contact us prior to sending us your blanks.
Before sending your wood to us: Please remove any wax or debris. Thicknesses of 2" or less are best as the blank size increases, the probability of internal resin shrinkage, warping, or partial resin penetration increases.
Charges for stabilizing customer supplied wood:
All pricing and weights are based on “after stabilization” finished weight plus shipping. We have a minimum order of 2 lbs processing ($20)
